Jim Kalka is the owner and founder of CPR Claims and a second-generation public adjuster with more than 40 years of experience advocating for policyholders. His career began in his twenties, working alongside his father in a fire restoration business. During those early years, Jim witnessed firsthand how homeowners were often impacted twice. First by the devastation of a house fire, and then again during the insurance settlement process.
Determined to make a difference, Jim and his father established their own public adjusting firm to represent property owners and ensure they received fair treatment. More than four decades later, that same mission continues to guide his work.
Jim’s commitment is not just professional, it’s personal! In 2013, his own home burned to the ground. Having navigated the recovery process himself, he understands the stress, uncertainty, and urgency families face after a loss.
Today, Jim is licensed in 7 states: Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida. His approach is to be proactive, be prepared, and never accept less than what you’re entitled to under your policy!
